Hannah Bevan

Lighting designer, chief LX, Programmer, Technician, House/Venue Technician

Hannah Bevan is an emerging lighting designer and technician, originally from Wicklow but currently based in Galway. Since graduating from the University of Galway with a first in Drama, Theatre and Performance with Irish, she had worked as a full-time freelancer in Galway and Dublin. As a designer, she likes to craft states that feel like a character unto themselves- living, breathing, and reacting as the actors onstage do. Recent credits include ‘BROADS’ (Dir. Laura Marie O’Connor) for the Scene+Heard Festival of New Work and the Mick Lally Theatre, Fíbín sa Taibhdhearc’s ‘Fíonn sa Spás’ (Dir. Séamus Hughes), and ‘Suckin’ Diesel’ (Dir. Ursula McGinn) for Dublin Fringe Festival. As a technician, she has worked with companies such as Galway International Arts Festival, An Taibhdhearc, Galway Theatre Festival, and Landmark Productions. She regularly works as a house technician in the Town Hall Theatre, Galway.
