QLab in association with Galway Theatre Festival

For the first time the AIST is teaming up with Galway Theatre Festival to offer training and workshops for theatre practitioners in the city and surrounding areas.

AIST will be running QLab 3 training on Saturday 4th May from 10.00am – 5.00pm with AIST instructor Mike O’Halloran in the new O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance at NUI Galway. For full details please see our training page.

ROBE Demo

Robe Around The UK is coming to Dublin on Thursday 10th January for a co-hosted “Theatrical Open Day” with Cue One Ireland.!

We have a space at the Draiocht Blanchardstown theatre in their “Meeting Room” just outside Dublin, Ireland and will be bringing our latest and greatest ROBE lighting fixtures for you to operate including the #T1#RoboSpotsystem and many others!

Learn how to setup and operate the T1 and RoboSpot, receive expert tips and demos from our team and ask any burning questions you have about any Robe fixtures.

Introduction to Theatrical Pyrotechnics

THE COURSE IS INTENDED FOR THEATRE TECHNICIANS WHO MAY HAVE THE NEED TO FIRE THEATRICAL PYROTECHNICS AS PART OF THEIR JOB. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE COURSE WILL QUALIFY THE PARTICIPANT TO RIG AND FIRE THEATRICAL PYROTECHNICS IN A THEATRICAL SETTING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A PRINCIPAL PYROTECHNIC OPERATOR(PPO)
THE COURSE DOES NOT QUALIFY THE SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPANT TO RIG AND FIRE FIREWORKS DISPLAYS.

THE COURSE WILL ALSO QUALIFY THE SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPANT TO LOAD, UNLOAD AND TRANSPORT ADR EXEMPT LOADS OF CLASS 1 HAZARDOUS GOODS.

PARTICIPANTS MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE BOTH THE PRACTICAL ELEMENT AND THE MULTIPLE CHOICE WRITTEN TEST.
