Notice of AGM 2019

Our AGM will be held this Thursday the 30th May in The Aisling Hotel Dublin.
Registration is from 1pm, with the AGM running from 1.30pm until 3pm. If you can hang around after for some chats there will be tea, coffee and sandwiches too.

It would be great to get some new people involved in the organization. If anyone is interested in becoming a board member email info@aist.ie or chat to one of the board members. Nominations may be made by the nominee or any paid up member. Board Positions:
– Chair
– Secretary
– Treasurer
– Ordinary board members (at present 8 seats but the AGM may vote to change this)
All are welcome to attend the AGM and contribute but only paid up members may vote.

If you would like to add a topic to the Agenda of the AGM please email info@aist.ie by the 29th May.

By Bike

Conveniently, there’s also a Dublinbikes station right next to us. Dublinbikes is a public bike-sharing scheme that’s hugely popular with locals, commuters and visitors.

By Bus

From the city centre, take a 145, 26, 66, 66A, 66B, 66D or 67 and get off at Heuston.

By Luas (tram)

The Luas Red Line is right outside our door. The two closest stops are Museum and Heuston.

By train

Train from Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Kerry, Mayo, Athlone, Tullamore, Kildare and some of the suburbs to the west of Dublin terminate at Heuston Station. From here, we’re an easy two-minute walk.

By taxi

Every taxi driver in the city knows exactly where we are.

By car

Just 12 minutes from the M50 motorway and easily accessed from all the major routes.

Parking

Parking is available in our multi-storey car park. Hotel guests can enjoy a special discounted overnight rate. There’s are spaces for
parking coaches on the adjacent streets.

Re-scheduled AGM 2018

The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the Association of Irish Stage Technicians will be held on Thursday the 12th April 2018 at 12 noon in the Clarence Hotel Dublin.

Registration will be from 11.30am
AGM due to start at 12 noon
There will be tea, coffee and sandwhiches after the AGM at 1.30pm

All are welcome to attend and contribute but only paid up members may vote.

Fees are €20 or €10 for Students.
You can join on the day by cash or credit/debit card via the Website (www.aist.ie) by 6pm on 11th April.

Board Positions:
Chair
Secretary
Ordinary board members

We would encourage anyone who feels that they can contribute to put themselves forward.

Any member paid up by 12 noon on 11th April can be nominated to any position.
Nominations may be made by the nominee or any paid up member by emailing info@aist.ie or approaching one of the board members.

Any item you would like to add to the agenda may be done so by email by the 4th April.
We will endeavor to get all items in but the more notice given the easier it will be.
Any item you want to add after this date can be put forward under “any other business” through the chair.

AGM Postponed Due to Weather

We have decided to postpone the AGM scheduled for tomorrow due to the adverse weather conditions.

We will aim to re-schedule the AGM within the coming weeks and will keep you all updated.

Touring Forum Training Day

31 JANUARY 2018, 10.00-16.00, DRAÍOCHT, BLANCHARDSTOWN

Following on from the Touring Forum in Draíocht earlier this year, a one-day Touring Training programme will take place on 31 January in Draíocht, Blanchardstown.

Led by Marie Tierney, sessions will include Tech theatre for non-technical people, Getting ready to tour, Contracting and Good Touring Practice.
