About Us
AIST is an association to promote the Health, Safety and Welfare of crew in the Entertainment Industry.
The Association has been formed by a group of Theatre Technical staff stemming from concerns about the health, safety and welfare of all practitioners in the performing arts and wider events industries. The long term aim is to become a representative body for the industry
The Association would:
- Set and promote the standards of practice within the industry.
- Facilitate further training for its members.
- Be a resource of information for the industry.
- Promote standard wages, hours and working conditions.
- Provide members with information on Professional Insurance and Pensions.
The AIST is not a union nor does it wish to provide that role.
